Our Journey to Bring Vision Care to Moab, Utah

In 2017, our journey to bring vision care to Moab, Utah began with pop-up clinics at the Moab Free Health Clinic. Our one-day clinics served approximately 40 members of the community. However, we recognized that the need for our services was vast and that we could transform the lives of many Utahns by expanding our efforts. Our growth was swift, from twice a year to four times a year. We hosted two-day clinics, then three-day clinics, and expanded our pop-up clinics to local elementary school campuses. As our efforts multiplied, it became clear that a permanent home was necessary.

Cutting the ribbon and opening our doors!

Check out some highlights from the Grand Opening, not only of the Hope Alliance Vision Center, but also the new home of the Moab Free Health Clinic. Everyone had a blast painting the building with love, and we were thrilled to see the positive response from our community in Moab.

We ended the evening dancing to live music and enjoying the company of the wonderful community, staff, patients and supporters.

This achievement is a testament to the power of community and collaboration between Hope Alliance, the Moab Free Health Clinic, and the entire Moab community. Special thanks to Dr. Scott Farrell, OD for donating the equipment for our first permanent vision clinic!
