In partnership with the Kellermann Foundation, The Hope Alliance will bringing our vision program to Bwindi, Uganda and we need your help.

Join us on this incredible, once in a lifetime experience that will take you deep into the jungle of Uganda. The team will host five days of vision clinics for the Batwa pygme population including children and adults. You will trek through the lush greenery to get to each destination and return to your guest house each night feeling exhausted and overwhelmingly grateful. Learn more about the Batwa pygmies in the Volunteer Guide from the Kellermann Foundation.

In addition to the great work you will do, you will also have the experience of two different safaris. The first is to Queen Elizabeth National Park. "Game drives in the early morning and evening allow you to see lions, elephants, Uganda kob, warthogs, and other local wildlife in addition to an astounding variety of birds. The Kazinga Channel boat tour with crocodiles, cape buffalo, hippos, and thousands of birds, is not to be missed." You will also experience the tree-climbing lions in Ishasha.

On your way back to the city of Entebbe you will pay a visit to Lake Mburo National Park for your second safari. "Explore the lakes, wetlands, and savanna. In this amazing park, you will see zebra, impala, enland, buffalo, oribi, Defassa waterbuck, leopard, hippo, hyena, topi, and reedbuck, along with more than 350 species of birds."
