Chad
For over three years, The Hope Alliance has supported Toupte Boguena's organization in Chad, Africa. She, along with other Utahns, formed the organization for Community Supported Sustainable Development. After receiving her Doctorate from BYU, Toupte returned to her homeland. The organization fit nicely into The Hope Alliance’s mission and objectives of sustainable development. A container of Medical and agricultural equipment needs, water pumps, and other humanitarian supplies was shipped, and after a great deal of political maneuvering, arrived in Chad to change lives. Toupte’s goal to help her country escape decades of poverty, strife, disease, and death are being realized. As of 2007, Toupte and her Utah supporters are now in a position to continue on their own. It has been a gratifying experience to see an organization that has the potential to bring about significant change continue on. Another successful Alliance!
